Chapel Down Winery

Guided Winery Tour and Tasting  (Tour Reference A)

Enjoy a guided tour of the vineyards and winery. On the tour you will learn about the varieties planted in the vineyard, you will be led through the winemaking processes for still, white, red and rosé wines and you will also be shown how to make sparkling wines according to the traditional method pioneered in Champagne and perfected in England!  The tours finishes back at the wine store where you will be invited to taste a selection of wines.

The Spa Town & Country House Tour

Behind the scenes tour of Canterbury Cathedral

Behind the scenes a great deal goes on - some 250 people work on preparing Services, creating beautiful music, restoring the stained glass or conserving unique and rare books and documents, much as the monks did many centuries ago.  Groups visiting the Cathedral can now experience these fascinating aspects of Cathedral life.

This brand new tour will give you a chance to reflect on what it was like working in the Dockyard during the Second World War and discover how women supported the war effort.  The tour includes cream tea and a trip on the Paddle Steamer Kingswear Castle.   £18 per person, minimum of 15 people per tour

Lady Days

This popular tour offers a unique opportunity to discover the role women played in the work of the Royal Dockyard.  You’ll explore The Historic Dockyard, hear tales of the lives of the ‘ladies of Flag Loft’ and the ‘women of the ropery’.  £18 per person, minimum of 15 people.

Footsteps of Nelson

Exploring the links between Horatio Nelson and HMS Victory with the Royal Dockyard at Chatham, this tour gives you an insight into the Georgian dockyard of Nelson’s time through the unique buildings and atmosphere of today.  Tour costs £40 per guide, maximum of 25 people.

Private evening hire

The Canterbury Tales is available for hire all year round for private functions. You will have exclusive use of the attraction for up to 2 hours which includes an audio guided tour. Drinks and canapés can be arranged to complete the evening and these may be served in the pretty churchyard to the rear of the attraction or in our gift shop located at the end of your tour.

If you require something extra special then enjoy a live performance of The Pardoner’s or The Miller’s Tale in the churchyard garden.
